i'm bored before cube night
I was sitting at a brewery with my very handsome and brilliant friend Luke, and we were drinking and bored waiting for people to show up to cube night. We decided to try my now favorite waiting-for-cube-to-start format: two player four-pack sealed.
When I was growing up 4 pack retail sealed was a favorite side event of my brother and dad at GPs, and it seemed fun to apply to cube. Apply the following rules as needed:
- Build 8 packs from the cube you're drafting that night, it doesn't really matter how thoroughly shuffled the cube is. Pass four to each player.
- Build a sealed pool under extreme time pressure. Peer pressure is useful here, really grill your opponent if they're taking too long.
- Play games until pod fills. Sideboarding is allowed but frowned upon.
